My Unforgettable Memory

When I was an 8th grader precisely on 2015, I join a competition named OSN (Olimpiade Sains Nasional). It was a national level competition that all school in Indonesia join by sending their best student. This competition have some stages. The first one is City level. And if you pass this stage, you will continue to the next stage. It's the Province level. At that time I was studying in Central Java, so I take part in the Central Java level. And thanks to Allah, I passed this level too so I could represent Central Java in yhe National level.

I take the Science subject when I joined this competition. Central Java sent 36 students to Palu to represent Central Java in OSN 2015. Before we go to Palu, we attend some kind of training that's held one week before the OSN. That one week was full of studying the material that we needed to know. And after all those training, we -representative of Central Java- flew to Palu to compete with all of the best Junior Highschool student in Indonesia.

First day in Palu, we straightly went to the hotel that have been served for all of the contestants from all over Indonesia. The hotel was Santika Hotel.  During this competition we weren't allowed to go out from the hotel without permission from the committee of this competition. Next, all of the participants attended the opening ceremony at the ballroom of the hotel. There were about 390 participants in this competition. After that, we were allowed to take some rest because the next day will be the first day of the competition.

The next day, the competition began. The test was held in two days, the first day was the theory test or the writen test. It started at about 7 a.m and finished at 1 p.m. I felt like my mind was blown out after the test, and that was just the first day! After the test, we went back to the hotel to prepare for the next test.

Third day in Palu, we did the experiment test. There were two type of experiment, they were biology experiment and physics experiment. Again, my mind was blown out after the test. But this time I could relaxed a little because that was the last test. The next day, our schedule was having a trip to Tanjung Karang beach.

The trip to Tanjung Karang went well. I had a really good time there. Surfing, swimming, and doing other things. I reslly enjoyed it.

Eventhough I didn't win this competition, I felt really happy that I had joined this OSN. I hope I could join this competition once again in Senior Highschool :)

My Dream Place

Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with dense cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. Shinkansen bullet trains connect the main islands of Kyushu (with Okinawa's subtropical beaches), Honshu (home to Tokyo and Hiroshima’s atomic-bomb memorial) and Hokkaido (famous for skiing). Tokyo, the capital, is known for skyscrapers, shopping and pop culture. (source : Google)

I really wanted to go to Japan. I love their culture, and I wanted to continue study there to get my bachelor degree. Right now, my brother is in Japan trying to get his doctor degree. I wanted to follow his steps to go there.

I wanted to go to the most cultural city in Japan. That city is Kyoto. This city is very beautiful. Kyoto has a modern city and also cultural places. They still keep their culture eventhough they build so many skyscrappers and modern buildings in this city. This is the definition of Kyoto that I get from wikipedia.

Kyoto (京都市 Kyōto-shi, pronounced [kʲjoːto.ɕi]UK /kɪˈoʊtoʊ/US /kiˈoʊ-/, or /ˈkjoʊ-/) is a city located in the central part of the island of Honshu, Japan. It has a population close to 1.5 million. Formerly the Imperial capital of Japan for more than one thousand years, it is now the capital city of Kyoto Prefecture located in the Kansai region, as well as a major part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area. Kyoto is also known as the thousand-year capital. (source : Wikipedia)

Kyoto

I really wanted to visit the Kinkakuji Temple, Kiyomizudera Temple, and Ginkakuji Temple. These temples are very famous in Japan, they are located in Kyoto. They are also the iconic building of Kyoto. The Kinkakuji Temple is a temple made of gold. It was built many years ago, once this temple was a house of someone. Why is this house then changed into a temple? The owner of this house died and he left a message to his son that he wanted to change his house to a temple.

I also wanted to go to Kyoto Tower. It's actually a six level hotel. But above the hotel is a tower. It has 600 metres of tall and weigh at about 100 tons. The view from above this tower is very beautiful. I hope one day I could visit all these places with all of my family :)

MEGANTARA 2016

Two weeks ago, precisely on September 10th 2016 SMAN 3 Bandung held a very big event named Megantara. Megantara is a cultural festival that's held annually. This festival wasn't just attended by SMAN 3 students, but it's open for public. I was a committee in this event, and because of that I stay overnight from one day before the event was held.

I woke up at 4 a.m, then I took a bath and Shalat Subuh. The committee gathered in bangsal at about 6 a.m. We did the last technical meeting before the event started. I was in the logistic division, stage subdivision. So I stayed at the stage throughout the event. My job was to get the stage ready before the performer used the stage. And my other job is to look for RAN's riders - things that RAN asked the committee to prepare for them - and I must make sure thatthe riders were ready before RAN arrived at Megantara. I was a little bit troubled because of that, but I was able to prepare them in time.

Although my subdivision's job was to stay at the backstage during most of the event, we enjoyed it. When Changcuters an RAN performed on tye stage, we -the stage subdivision- got freetime. so we were free at that moment. We could enjoy their performance and I'm very thankful to that freetime.

This big event ended at about 10 p.m. All of the committee gathered again at bangsal to had an evaluation from each division about their performance throughout Megantara. All of the committee were allowed to go home after this evaluation, except the logistic division. The logistic division had to clean up the bangsal. Well, we finished cleaning up at 2 a.m so at last we were allowed to go home. I hope next year's cultural festival would be greater than this year!!

WTTF (World Tournament and Techno Fest)

On Saturday, 20 August 2016, 3 Senior High School Bandung held an event called World Tournament and TechnoFest or WTTF for short. In this event, there are many games we have to play.
This event was started at Lapangan Bali. It started at about 6.30 until 14.30. The commitees have devided the participants into a teams. A team is contain of  grade X and grade XI. So, me and my  grade X-9 friends would be against XI-9. We  moved to other place to play another game if we've done one game. Although the opponent's grade was higher than ours, we kept our fighting spirits high.

There were so many events, and I donbt remember all of them. But there is one event that I remember thr most, that event was playing PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) - a soccer game - in bangsal. We win 5-1 from our opponent XI-9. I was a part of that winning against XI-9.

I was not there until the event end. At 14.30 I must go to Dago with some of my friends to take care of an event that will be held the next day. That event was "Makrab with X-9 alumnus". Even though I wasn't there until WTTF ends, I was very pleased with this event. ^_^
