My Dream Place

Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with dense cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. Shinkansen bullet trains connect the main islands of Kyushu (with Okinawa's subtropical beaches), Honshu (home to Tokyo and Hiroshima’s atomic-bomb memorial) and Hokkaido (famous for skiing). Tokyo, the capital, is known for skyscrapers, shopping and pop culture. (source : Google)

I really wanted to go to Japan. I love their culture, and I wanted to continue study there to get my bachelor degree. Right now, my brother is in Japan trying to get his doctor degree. I wanted to follow his steps to go there.

I wanted to go to the most cultural city in Japan. That city is Kyoto. This city is very beautiful. Kyoto has a modern city and also cultural places. They still keep their culture eventhough they build so many skyscrappers and modern buildings in this city. This is the definition of Kyoto that I get from wikipedia.

Kyoto (京都市 Kyōto-shi, pronounced [kʲjoːto.ɕi]UK /kɪˈoʊtoʊ/US /kiˈoʊ-/, or /ˈkjoʊ-/) is a city located in the central part of the island of Honshu, Japan. It has a population close to 1.5 million. Formerly the Imperial capital of Japan for more than one thousand years, it is now the capital city of Kyoto Prefecture located in the Kansai region, as well as a major part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area. Kyoto is also known as the thousand-year capital. (source : Wikipedia)

Kyoto

I really wanted to visit the Kinkakuji Temple, Kiyomizudera Temple, and Ginkakuji Temple. These temples are very famous in Japan, they are located in Kyoto. They are also the iconic building of Kyoto. The Kinkakuji Temple is a temple made of gold. It was built many years ago, once this temple was a house of someone. Why is this house then changed into a temple? The owner of this house died and he left a message to his son that he wanted to change his house to a temple.

I also wanted to go to Kyoto Tower. It's actually a six level hotel. But above the hotel is a tower. It has 600 metres of tall and weigh at about 100 tons. The view from above this tower is very beautiful. I hope one day I could visit all these places with all of my family :)
